Zlatan Ibrahimovic Has Been Pipped To The Manchester United Player Of The Month Award By Fellow New Signing Eric Bailly.

The 34-year-old striker has enjoyed a strong start to life at Old Trafford following his transfer to the club on a free from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

Ibrahimovic has netted four goals in as many games for the Red Devils in all competitions to help Jose Mourinho’s men impress under their new manager.

He also struck the winner in the Community Shield at Wembley as United beat Leicester City to win their first trophy under their new boss.

However, he has been overshadowed by Bailly, who has also caught the eye with his performances at the back for the Red Devils since his transfer from Villarreal this summer.

Bailly beat Ibrahimovic to August’s award with 55 per cent of the vote to Ibrahimovic’s 37 per cent. Daley Blind was third with eight per cent.
